According to the media the world's population passed the 6,000,000,000 mark in1999

CONSIDER THE SERIOUS IMPLICATIONS OF THIS:-

If the universal flood was 4,350 years ago and only 8 people survived, could the earth have been repopulated to the year 1999 estimate of 6,000,000,000 people?

Assuming Noah and his wife had no more children after coming out of the ark, that leaves 3 couples i.e. six people to re-populate the earth.

Assume an extremely low average population growth rate of 1.1 per person per generation
( a rate of 1 would be zero growth, whereas growth rate of 1.1 per person is only 2.2 children per couple so we are choosing an extremely small growth rate for our calculation).

How many children did your great grandparents have? Families of over eight surviving children were quite common in the UK. So we could in no way be accused of choosing an enhanced growth rate for our calculations.

An average population growth rate of 1.1 per person per generation should more than allow for decimation through natural child deaths, famines, wars, natural calamities, massacres plagues etc..

Assume on average marriage took place at 18 years of age and the second child is born at about 20 years of age that would give an average generation gap of 20 years.

Then :- starting with 3 couples, i.e. 6 people and a growth rate of 1.1 people per person, with a generation interval of 20 years, in 4,350 years the population would be approximately:-

6x1.1^(4,350/20) = 6,040,324,524, where ^ means "to the power of".

So the Bible account of the population of the world after the flood being only 8 persons is mathematically quite reasonable, whereas the evolutionary fables of the age of mankind on the earth are grossly far-fetched.

The evolutionist claims man has inhabited this earth for well over 500,000 years. Using the same formula, starting with only two people, just one couple to start with, 500,000 years ago, the world population should be at least:-

2x1.1^(500,000/20) = 2.2^(25,000) = trillions upon trillions of people*. There would not be enough room for us all to fit on the surface of the earth even squashed shoulder to shoulder. So where are all the people and all the trillions upon trillions of fossilised artefacts.

How embarrassing for the evolutionists. Does this send them back to the drawing board yet again?

Theoretical physicists concoct ideas, called "models", to help them come to terms with physical phoneme. They then devise a formula that fits their model. This is then presented to the scientific world for appraisal. The professional media then offer it as fact and it becomes a "sacred cow".

For example the theory that the speed of light (in a vacuum) is constant throughout all space and time (186,282 mps) and the maths. devised to accommodate it. Now read on:-

'Pulses of light travel through a vacuum at the mind-boggling speed of ~100 million miles per hour (mph). In glass and other transparent matter, it moves somewhat slower, at ~50 million mph, but still, for most people, it is infinitely fast. Not anymore. The speed of light pulses has been slowed to the snail's pace of a few meters per second. The quantum state of such pulses has been stored (stopped light)and even reversed in time.'

'We have observed both superluminal and ultraslow light propagation in an alexandrite crystal at room temperature. Group velocities as slow as 91 meters per second to as fast as –800 meters per second were measured and attributed to the influence of coherent population oscillations involving chromium ions in either mirror or inversion sites within the crystal lattice. Namely, ions in mirror sites are inversely saturable and cause superluminal light propagation, whereas ions in inversion sites experience conventional saturable absorption and produce slow light. This technique for producing large group indices is considerably easier than the existing methods to implement and is therefore suitable for diverse applications.'

SO WHAT ?

Well - light can pass through a vacuum. Electromagnetic forces are not blocked by vacuum. We do not know what varied field strengths influence light on its way from distant stars to us. So we cannot estimate at what varied speeds light has travelled to us from distant stars, neither can we measure its initial velocity. This means we cannot estimate the time light takes to get here from those stars. This has put an astronomical "cat amongst the pigeons".

If it has travelled slower - it might also have travelled faster. More embarrassment for the evolutionists.
